S. Nicholas Cruz Encinas IV

Nick Encinas was born in Michigan, but grew up in Ocala, Florida.  He moved to Tampa, Florida to complete his undergraduate studies and graduated from the University of South Florida with a major in Political Science.  Mr. Encinas obtained his Juris Doctor from The University of Florida Levin College of Law.  While in law school, he gained valuable advocacy skills as a Certified Legal Intern working for the Family Advocacy and Gator TeamChild Clinics. Additionally, Mr. Encinas received a Pro Bono Certificate in recognition for completing over 160 pro bono hours.

After gaining admission to the Florida Bar, Mr. Encinas returned to the Tampa Bay Area and started his legal career serving as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County.  There, he handled a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases ranging from Petit Theft to Grand Theft Motor Vehicle.  As an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Encinas argued motion hearings and served as first chair at numerous trials.  Prior to joining BLG in 2022, Mr. Encinas worked as an associate at an insurance defense firm in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he litigated on behalf of insurance carriers against first-party claims.

Mr. Encinas is committed to providing quality service to his clients.  He recognizes that maintaining consistent contact with clients and providing sound advice are essential to achieving a successful defense in litigation and resolution of their cases.
